Longville, MN (November 27, 2012) - This past weekend marked the 21st annual Duluth National Snocross race, a holiday tradition for thousands of racers, families and fans. Man-made snow was generated to make this weekend a successful one. The 3-day race weekend kicked off on Friday evening with the Amsoil Dominator, followed by race round 1 and 2 of the ISOC National Snocross Series.

Levi LaVallee (Pro) started off the weekend strong while working his way into the semi-finals Friday night in the Amsoil Dominator (a one-off, head-to-head bracket-style event). In the first round, LaVallee was matched against his own teammate, Kyle Pallin (Pro). LaVallee won round one and made it through to the semi-finals by beating last years defending ISOC champion, Tim Tremblay. And in the semi-final around, it was LaVallee vs. Hibbert. Hibbert came off the line first, and after a great battle, LaVallee had an unfortunate off which eliminated him from moving on to the finals. Saturday and Sunday were race round 1 and 2 of the ISOC National Snocross Series. LaVallee and Pallin had some great qualifying throughout the weekend, but were not able to pull off the results they wanted in the Pro Open Finals. However, with LaVallee still wanting to put on a show for the fans, he once again did his infamous “back-flip” intro’s to kick of the races throughout the weekend.

As for Team LaVallee’s Pro Lite Rider, Jake Scott - let’s rewind to the Lake Geneva Finale last season. Scott ended the season strong - winning his first national Pro Lite race, which secured 3rd place overall in the 2011/2012 Pro Lite points battle. And for this years first national, Scott started things off on the right foot. With over 50 Pro Lite athletes competing over the weekend, the chances of making the final were slim. With a combination of great holeshots, smooth lines and smart passing opportunities Scott was able to make his way to the 2nd place podium spot, Saturday night. A great moment for Scott and Team LaVallee at the ISOC season opener.

“We learned a lot from this first National race. We struggled in some areas but that is where we take those experiences and learn from them. We have two weeks off to test and practice before our next national and we will be taking advantage of this time. Our high-point for the weekend was Jake (Scott) getting on the podium in the Pro Lite class Saturday night. He earned it, he rode hard all weekend and in the end it paid off. We are looking forward to our next national and caring that momentum with us.” states Glenn Kafka (co-owner to Team LaVallee).

MYSTIK® LUBRICANTS ANNOUNCES RENEWAL OF TEAM LAVALLEE TITLE SPONSORSHIP

HOUSTON – (September 10, 2012) – Mystik® Lubricants announced they will renew their title sponsorship of Team LaVallee, which is led by Levi LaVallee, world record holder of the longest snowmobile distance jump and seven-time Winter X Games medalist. This is the company’s second year sponsoring the team, which will include branding, product usage exclusivity, social communications and utilizing LaVallee in advertising campaigns.

“We were incredibly pleased with our first year with Team LaVallee, which was heightened by Levi making his record-breaking 412 foot jump at the Red Bull New Year No Limits event,” said Karl Schmidt, general manager of Mystik Lubricants. “Levi, his riders and mechanics are the perfect representatives of our brand and what it stands for. We value their feedback and when Levi succeeds with jumps like he did on New Year’s Eve, there really can’t be a better testimonial about our product than that.”

Leading the team is LaVallee, who reigns as ISOC’s Fan Favorite for the fourth consecutive year and holds the world record for the longest snowmobile distance jump. The team is excited to announce the addition of Pro Rider Kyle Pallin who will join Pro Lite rider Jake Scott. The Pro Lite rookie on the national circuit secured third place overall last year in Pro Lite points by winning his final race at Lake Geneva, Wis.

“We are really excited to continue working with Mystik Lubricants,” said LaVallee. “Last season was big for us and breaking my distance jump record was a perfect example of how much we demand out of our machines. My pit team can clearly see the difference in our sleds because of Mystik – it continues to ensure the top-quality and clean performance we require.”

SnoCross and Speed & Style Return to Winter X 2013

Story released and written by Devon O'Neil | ESPN.com

X Games nixes Snowboard X, Skier X
Two of the longest-running competitions in X Games history, winter's Snowboarder X and Skier X, will not be part of the show when the X Games return to Aspen in January 2013, event organizers confirmed Thursday. ESPN decided to cut the events, as well as Mono Skier X, and will not build the X Course for the first time in history.
Snowboarder X was one of three events that had taken place every year since the Winter X Games debuted in 1997, along with Snowboard Superpipe and Slopestyle. Skier X had been staged 15 of those 16 years, starting in 1998. Mono Skier X was added to the docket five years ago.
"These decisions are never easy, obviously," said Tim Reed, senior director of content strategy for ESPN X Games. "We understand the ramifications these things bring. We come up with what we believe are the best events to showcase to our fans on-site and obviously the networks, too.
"There wasn't one single factor that led to this decision. It just comes down to filling the schedule with how much we believe we need to make the event enjoyable to the fans and deliver on what we need from a product standpoint."
Meanwhile, two events that were dropped last year, Snowmobile SnoCross and Speed and Style, are returning to the 2013 Aspen schedule. SnoCross had been featured for 14 straight years before it was omitted from X Games Aspen 2012.
Six-time and defending SnoCross champion Tucker Hibbert knows the sentiment all too well.
"I'm bummed for boardercross and skiercross; I know how those guys feel," he said. "We're kind of at the organizers' mercy in terms of whether we're in or out, but I'm thankful that SnoCross is back in and I'm going to do my best to make sure we're in for years to come."
The turn of events hit the ski and snowboard communities hard this week, with a handful of athletes finding out Tuesday.
"It's a devastating blow to our sport and skiercross, too, because X Games has been our Super Bowl for years," said Nate Holland, who has won six of the past seven gold medals in Snowboarder X.
Holland said he appreciated the opportunity to work with ESPN in the past, but he's expecting to take a financial hit with the loss of the sport's most prestigious annual event.
"I have sponsors that put a value on X Games and the exposure I get there," he said. "Basically, my stock went down as soon as that news came out."
"No Skier X comes as a surprise to me since X Games put it on the map and (helped foster) the progress it's made to the Olympic level," Daron Rahlves, the 2008 Skier X gold medalist and promoter of the Rahlves Banzai Tour, said in an e-mail from Chile. "Skicross athletes look forward to the X Games for the best track of the year and the big stage to compete on."
"It's definitely perplexing," 2011 Mono Skier X gold medalist Josh Dueck said. "It's not the only mono skiercross race, but in my eyes it is because it does it on a level no other event matches. There's no better exposure we can get for our sport. And right now we're young and growing exponentially. This is a huge, huge hit to the evolution we're seeing. It's hard to digest."
Reed didn't dismiss the possibility of the disciplines being added to future X Games events.
"There's nothing to say we won't do X course next year," he said. "We believe in the sport, we love it, we've been doing it for a lot of years. Ultimately we just made the decision that we're going to focus on pipe, slope, big air, a full complement of snowmobiles and snowboard street."
Holland, for one, hopes his sport's fate mirrors that of SnoCross.
"I know it's a business decision," he said. "I remain optimistic that they'll repeal this decision in the years to come. I'm open to any suggestions. I don't want this to be the end. And I don't think it's over for us."

Scott takes a Win & LaVallee is Fan Favorite.

Longville, MN (March 20th, 2012) - Beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin was the final stop on the Amsoil Championship SnoCross Series for the 2011-2012 season. With temperatures reaching into the 80’s, fans where able to attend the races in shorts and T-shirts, instead the normal winter coats and boots. Due to the weather and lack of snow, the track was shorter than normal, but fortunately enough snow was preserved to maintain a competitive track and thousands of fans come out to watch the final races of the season.

Bobby LePage (Pro) had one of his strongest weekends of the season. LePage qualified for both finals and finishing a solid 9th place on Saturday afternoon in Pro Open Round 14. Out of the two-day event, Sunday was the day that LePage really shined. In round one of qualifying LePage took a 2nd and in round two, LePage came out swinging and won his heat race. Coming into the final race of the season, LePage was the 2nd qualifier. Off of the line and up the hill of the Pro Open final, LePage got tangled up with another rider in the first corner, which ultimately caused him to be towards the back of the pack, but still managed to finish a notable 13th place.

Jake Scott (Pro Lite) coming off of his 2nd place finish at ERX the previous weekend, Scott was hoping for a first place finish. Scott had amazing qualifying both Saturday and Sunday, with 4 points each day - Scott was able to skip both LCQ’s (last chance qualifier) and go straight into the final. In Saturday’s Pro Lite #1 Final, Scott was sitting in 4th place throughout the entire final, and with one lap to go, the race was red flagged due to a rider down. The race was re-started with one lap to go, and Scott ended up with a 5th place finish. On Sunday’s Pro Lite #2 Final, Scott was 2nd off the line and held that position throughout most of the race, until the leader went off of the track and Scott slid right in to the 1st place spot. Finishing his final race of the season with an exciting 1st place finish.

“Wow, what a season! First, thanks to all of the fans for voting me Fan Favorite! I do everything I can for my fans and it’s an honor to receive this award. Congrats to Jake and Bobby on this great season and I also wanted to send out a special thanks to the Team LaVallee crew and our awesome sponsors who have supported us this year. Couldn’t have done it without them!” states Levi LaVallee (co-owner to Team LaVallee).

Scott Takes Second at ERX National!

Longville, MN (March 13th, 2012) - EXR (Elk River Extreme Motorpark) in Elk River, Minnesota was the second to last stop on the Amsoil Championship SnoCross Series. With unseasonably warm weather and temperatures reaching into the 60’s, the two-day National had record breaking crowds and with snow being preserved throughout the winter, it was one of the biggest tracks we have seen all season.

Bobby LePage (Pro) started off the two-day event with great qualifying. LePage qualified 10th for the Pro Open final Friday night and coming off of the start of the final - LePage was looking awesome. A couple laps in into the 14 lap final LePage came to a dead stop on the track, finding a blown shock which ultimately ended the race for LePage. For the Saturday night final, LePage was riding strong and sitting mid-pack, coming from the back row. About half-way through the race, LePage had an unfortuate off, causing him to round out the weekend with a 13th place finish.

Jake Scott (Pro Lite) coming off of two podium finishes at the Fargo National the previous weekend, Scott took that same momentum into the ERX National and was able to make it back onto the podium. Scott had one of the strongest weekends yet this season, he took home 1st and 2nd place finishes in both qualifying rounds Friday and Saturday. In the final on Friday night, Scott had a great start, coming off of the line in 4th place out of the 15 rider final. With steady momentum and consistent lines, Scott ended up passing two other riders and finished the Friday night final with an outsanding 2nd place. Rounding out the weekend in the Saturday night final, Scott came off of the line a little late which caused him to be in the back of the pack. But that didn’t stop Scott, he was on the prowl and made his way up from 14th place to an awesome 6th place finish in Pro Lite #2 Saturday night.

“Hats off to Jake Scott for an incredible weekend. He is really riding strong and it’s exciting to see him get the results he has been working so hard for. I also want to say great job to ERX, the whole set-up was amazing; huge track and an even bigger crowd.” states Levi LaVallee (co-owner to Team LaVallee).

Scott Earns Podium Finishes at Fargo National!

Longville, MN (March 6th, 2012) - The Fargo National, held at BRRP (Buffalo River Race Park) in Glyndon, Minnesota was a new stop on the Amsoil Championship SnoCross Series and for Team LaVallee, one of the most memorable race weekends yet this season. It was a two-night event, held both Friday and Saturday and even with less than desirable weather conditions Friday night, it didn’t stop race fans from coming out and
cheering on their favorite rider.

Bobby LePage (Pro) started off the Fargo Nationals with great qualifying. LePage took a 2nd and 6th in round one and round two of Pro Open. Coming in a couple points shy of going directly to the final, LePage took 3rd place in the LCQ (last chance qualifier) and entered into the Friday night final, from the back row. Off of the line of the Pro Open final, LePage started towards the back, but worked his way up and maintained his position and ended with a notable 11th place finish. On Saturday, LePage had a tough day of racing, with scoring 5th in both of his qualifying rounds, LePage went to the LCQ and ended up just 3 position shy of making into the Pro Open final due to mechanical issues with his sled.

Jake Scott (Pro Lite) had one of his strongest race weekends this season. With phenomenal qualifying rounds, Scott was able to skip the LCQ’s and go straight into the finals. First, Friday night, Scott had an awesome hole-shot off of the line where he found himself rounding the first turn towards the front of the pack. With fast lap times and consistency, Scott finished with his first podium of the season, taking 3rd place. Saturday’s final, Scott came off of the line towards the back, but lap after lap, Scott rode strong and continued to pick off one rider at a time and he earned his way to another awesome 3rd place finish!

“I am super pumped on this weekends results. Jake rode awesome and ended up taking home two 3rd place trophies. There were a couple of mechanical issues for Bobby, but all of that will get straightened out for these next two final race weekends. I am excited to have another close-to-home race, in Elk River, MN this weekend.” states Levi LaVallee (co-owner to Team LaVallee).

Vision Kia Eastern National Results.

Longville, MN (February 29, 2012) - The Vision Kia Eastern National, held in Farmington, New York was originally scheduled three weeks ago, however with the lack of snow and warm weather, the race was rescheduled for February 24th and 25th. With those extra weeks, the Amsoil Championship SnoCross Series was able to make enough snow for a competitive snocross track. Team LaVallee was eager to get back on the road, with only 4 races left of the 2011-2012 season, the team was ready to put on a show.

Bobby LePage (Pro) had an awesome weekend of racing. It all started Friday night of the two-night event, LePage finished 3rd and 2nd in his qualifying rounds, which allowed him to go straight to the final. Off of the starting line for the Pro Final, LePage ripped a great hole-shot and came around the first corner towards the front of the pack. With smooth, consistent riding LePage held great lap times during the 28-lap final and finished an exciting 4th place. Saturday night, LePage had an unfortunate off in a qualifying round but he was still able to make it into the final, by taking 2nd in the LCQ (last change qualifier). Coming from the back row, LePage rode strong and took home a notable 11th place finish Saturday night.

Jake Scott (Pro Lite) was on the same path as LePage, Scott also rode strong throughout the two-day event. Scott made it into the final on both Friday and Saturday night. But where Scott really stood out was on Friday night, qualifying 5th in round one and taking a 1st in round two, Scott went straight into the Pro Lite Final. With an awesome start, Scott rode smart and held his moment throughout the final and finished an awesome 4th place. On Saturday, Scott made his way into the Final through the LCQ and rounded out the weekend with a 10th place.

“This was one of the best race weekends Team LaVallee has had this season, both Bobby and Jake were one position away from taking a podium finish Friday night. It was great to see that hunger, we are looking forward to these last 3 races, and hoping to end the 2011-2012 season on a high note.” states Glenn Kafka (co-owner to Team LaVallee).

Michigan Pontiac Silverdome Results

Longville, MN (February 14, 2012) - With over a month off from the Amsoil Championship SnoCross Series, the races were back on and held indoors at the Pontiac Silverdome, in Pontiac Michigan. The ACSS crew worked day and night blowing snow for this one-day event, and their hard work and added effort paid off. The Pontiac Silverdome National was a friday night, one-day-only event where a huge crowd came from all over Michigan to watch the best snowmobile racing show out there. With LaVallee out for the season, due to his leg injury - Team LaVallee’s Pro Rider, Bobby LePage and Pro Lites Rider, Jake Scott where eager to get out on the track and back to racing the ACSS National circuit.

“Our Team has been doing a lot of testing with these weeks off and the riders have been practicing daily. We all are ready to get back to racing and what better way to do it, is to race in the iconic Pontiac Silverdome.” states Glenn Kafka (co-owner to Team LaVallee).

LePage started off the one-night event with great speed and lap-time consistency, but limited snow, meant for a small track and tight corners. LePage fought hard but through two rounds of qualifying, he found himself in the LCQ (last chance qualifier) to make it into the final. With a tough start off of the line in the LCQ, LePage was near the back and couldn’t find his rhythm, LePage ended up in 7th place in the LCQ - just 2 positions shy of making into the Pro final. Team LaVallee’s Pro Lites rider, Jake Scott rode great all day. With a 3rd in round one and a 5th in round two, Scott still needed to race in the LCQ to make it into the final. With an awesome start off of the line, Scott took a 1st place in the LCQ, putting him in the back row for the Pro Lite Final. With 15 riders on the line for the Pro Lite final, Scott found himself mid-pack off of the start but Scott took great lines, found his momentum and finished a notable 10th place on Friday night.

The Vision Kia Eastern Nationals in Farmington, New York, have proven to be a challenge. We had prepared ahead of time with plenty of snow, but Mother Nature has not been kind. Because of rain and warm temperatures, the snow has taken a hit and the decision has been made not to run this event.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. We have done everything possible to fulfill our obligations to our sponsors, our racers and our fans alike, but unfortunately, we cannot control the weather and it just isn't possible. All entries will be refunded.

Jimmy Blaze Fejes Sits Out for Winter X 2012.

Aspen, CO (January 26, 2012) - Team LaVallee brought on Jimmy Blaze Fejes last week to represent the team at Winter X Games 2012, for the snowmobile freestyle event held tonight (Thursday) at 8:15pm-9:00pm central standard time. Unfortunately, before practice yesterday - Fejes had to go through ESPN/XGames medical in order to get cleared to ride at XGames. Fejes had broken his femur two months ago, riding his snowmobile at a freestyle show held in Mexico. Since then, he had gotten clearance from his doctor in Texas, but the ESPN/XGames medics did not give Fejes the green light to ride. Fejes will now sit out for the 2012 Winter X Games.

“It has been a tough go for our team and finding a healthy rider for the X Games. We did all we could and it just wasn’t in our favor this year.” states Glenn Kafka (co-owner to Team LaVallee).

Levi LaVallee will however be commentating tonight during the Freestyle final and will also be on X Center following tonights XGames coverage. Be sure to tune in tonight, (Thursday - Jan. 26th) from 8:00-9:15pm central standard time on ESPN for the snowmobile freestyle competition.

Team LaVallee brings on Jimmy “Blaze” Fejes for Snowmobile Freestyle, XGames 2012.

Longville, MN (January 23, 2012) - With Team LaVallee’s freestyle riders, Levi LaVallee and Daniel Bodin out for Winter X Games 2012 (both were injured in separate training incidents during preparation for X Games), Team LaVallee was on the hunt - looking for a freestyle rider that could represent Team LaVallee.

Jimmy “Blaze” Fejes was called last week to see if he would be interested in representing Team LaVallee for the 2012 Winter X Games. With less than a week before the games begin, Fejes accepted the offer and was on the next flight to northern Minnesota to train at Levi LaVallee’s facility.

“We were excited coming into Winter X Games 2012 knowing we had two top level riders, and unfortunately both got hurt. And being this late in the game, we are fortunate to be able to bring on another XGames caliber rider, such as Jimmy Blaze Fejes, on to our team.” states Glenn Kafka (co-owner to Team LaVallee).

Fejes has attended multiple Winter X Games and most recently took 3rd place at Red Bull: Fuel + Fury, 2011 - a snowmobile freestyle competition held at iconic Wrigley Field, an event that was hosted by Levi LaVallee.

Team LaVallee’s Canterbury Park Race Recap.

LONGVILLE, Minn., January 10, 2012 – After jumping right into the 2012 New Year (watch video), Team LaVallee was back in Minnesota and all geared up for the 3rd stop on the Amsoil Championship SnoCross Series, held at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN. With lack of snow dominating most of the mid-west, the ACSS crew worked overtime and created enough man-made snow to make a great snocross track, which pleased both the racers and the record-breaking crowd for the Friday/Saturday National.

Team LaVallee was excited to come into the first race of 2012 with a full roster. Pro Rider, Bobby LePage had been given the green light from his doctor to race, LePage had missed the first two nationals due to a injury to his leg during pre-season practice. Also coming back was Team LaVallee’s other Pro Rider, Levi LaVallee - who was ready to go back to his “normal job” of racing, after smashing his old distance jump record of 361ft by 51ft, and setting a new world record distance jump of 412ft at Red Bull: New Year. No Limits. (watch video)

“I am pumped to be back racing! This is my 14th year racing at Canterbury, and it’s one of my favorite tracks. But, because of my distance jump, I only had one full day of practice for snocross, so my goal was just to make the finals and put on a good show for the fans.” states LaVallee.

The Results: Team LaVallee’s Pro Lites Rider, Jake Scott was looking strong in his Pro Lite qualifying rounds on Friday evening, Scott pulled a great holeshot and took 4th in his first qualifying heat. In round two, Scott had an unfortunate off, causing a muscle spasm in his lower back, which only allowed him to do starts for the rest of the weekend. Pro Rider, Bobby LePage had a great weekend for his first national this season. LePage just missed the final by a couple spots on Friday but finished Saturday’s final with a notable 12th place. Pro rider, Levi LaVallee’s goal for the weekend was to make both finals, and he did just that. Being the showman that LaVallee is, he started off both nights with his infamous “BackFlip Intro” and he rounded out the weekend with great qualifying rounds, winning one of his heat races and finishing in 12th place on Friday and 10th on Saturday.

Race Results:

FOX® Lands Levi LaVallee and His Snowmobile Safely After Flying a World-Record Distance of 412 Feet, 6 Inches

Scotts Valley, CA January 10, 2012 – The leader in ride dynamics, FOX congratulates Levi LaVallee on his history-making distance jump of 412 feet, 6 inches this past New Year's Eve in San Diego — the first 300 feet of the jump was over a part of the bay.

"I was confident that I could beat my old distance-jumping world record, but never imagined that I'd fly over 412 feet; what an awesome start to 2012," said LaVallee. "FOX has provided me with such great suspension support — it translates into confidence and allows me to focus on the task at hand."

"I'm now looking forward to Winter X Games at the end of January, and there's still a lot of snocross racing left this season," Levi went on to say.

LaVallee bested his own distance-jumping record of 361 feet, set during practice for the same stunt in 2010, just before his crash that took him out for a year.

"We couldn't be happier for Levi reaching his goal of setting the bar even farther out with his latest record setting distance jump," said Dan S. Robbins, Senior Marketing Manager at FOX." Here at FOX, our focus is to help athletes and enthusiasts redefine their limits at all experience levels. We're extremely proud to work with such a phenomenal athlete and person as Levi to help us learn and develop products that exceed his and our customers' needs."

As co-owner of Team LaVallee, Levi is a 4-time Winter X Games gold medalist, and the first person to attempt a double backflip in competition during the 2009 Winter X Games.

Levi will be competing at Winter X Games, January 26–29, 2012. You can also catch him and the rest of Team LaVallee racing snocross.

Red Bull: New Year. No Limits. - History made

San Diego, Calif. (December 31, 2011) – Just after midnight on the East Coast (9 p.m. Pacific) Levi LaVallee and Robbie Maddison soared over 300 feet of water, and when they safely landed, both established new world records for distance jumping on a snowmobile and motorcycle, respectively, at Red Bull: New Year. No Limits. The event was telecast live from San Diego, Calif., on ESPN, ESPNHD and ESPN3.

LaVallee, a 29-year-old native of Longville, Minn., who was slated to jump in the same event last year before a testing accident derailed his New Year’s plans, redeemed himself in a big way - by breaking his existing certified world record of 361 feet with a leap of 412 feet 6 inches.

Maddison, a 30-year-old Aussie now living in Temecula, Calif., also achieved history by breaking his existing certified world record of 351 feet 3 inches by more than 30 feet, landing 378 feet 9 inches from his take-off ramp.

Soon after the fog blanketing the event site cleared, the two athletes blasted toward the take-off ramps on the North park at Embarcadero Marina Park in the downtown area of San Diego Bay, and launched across the 300-foot water gap, touching down on the massive landing ramp on the South park. A capacity crowd of thousands packed the park and got an early jump on their New Year’s Eve celebrations.

“I’m as excited as I think a person can be,” said LaVallee. “I just landed an over 400-foot jump. I’m not sure how the sled’s doing, but I’m OK, so it was good. It’s an amazing feeling. You have no idea how pumped I am.”

“It’s a cool feeling to do what I do and have the backing I do,” said Maddison. “I was confident we were going to go a long way tonight and we’re going to come back and go even further.”

WORLD-CLASS ATHLETES
Maddison boasts an accomplished freestyle motocross career, with an X Games silver medal in 2010 in Moto X Best Trick and two wins on the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour (Calgary 2009 and Madrid 2010). He also has a successful history of record-breaking achievements and globally captivating feats. Among them are backflipping across the Tower Bridge in London and clearing the Corinth Canal in Greece, to go with his previous New Year’s Eve successes, beginning in 2007 when he jumped his motorcycle 322 feet over a football field in Las Vegas and followed it up in 2008 by jumping onto – and off – the 96-foot-tall Arc De Triomphe at Paris Las Vegas.

LaVallee is a seven-time Winter X Games medalist (four golds) and champion snocross racer. He is widely known for becoming the first person to double backflip a snowmobile in 2009 at the Winter X Games. Despite the temperate climate in San Diego, LaVallee used artificial turf on his run-up path, which provided the necessary grip for his snowmobile’s track to ensure maximum speed as he hit the take-off ramp.

Red Bull’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration highlights extraordinary athletes pushing their physical, mental and technical limits to break boundaries and records. Leading up to their big night, LaVallee and Maddison worked with Red Bull’s athlete performance experts, physicists and engineers, in addition to their core teams, in an effort to get the most out of their bodies and machines. Valuable information has been attained with the goal of integration into future technological and athletic development.

After last year’s unfortunate cancellation, this was the fourth Red Bull: New Year. No Limits. event in the last five years. In 2008, the year Maddison went up and off the Arc de Triomphe, Rhys Millen backflipped an off-road truck. In 2009, Travis Pastrana jumped his rally car a staggering 269 feet over water, landing on a barge in Long Beach’s Rainbow Harbor.

Mystik Lubricants, title sponsor of LaVallee’s race team, is excited to partner with Red Bull in showing support for Levi during his record-breaking achievement.
